About this Beach
The name means apple spring in Maltese, a reference to a freshwater source that once fed the valley and has long since dried up. The 200 step descent keeps the crowds thinner than at Golden Bay next door, and the red clay cliffs turn extraordinary colours at sunset.
Park at Golden Bay and walk 10 min along the clifftop path to the staircase.
Bus 223 or 44 to Golden Bay, then walk.
